Meet Mort, a 10-week-old puppy with the confidence of a lion, the snuggle instincts of a koala, and the personal space boundaries of… well, none.

Mort is a sweet little guy with big dreams. He dreams of becoming a professional car ride companion, part-time snack inspector, and full-time shoulder parrot. That’s right—Mort thinks he’s a bird (or maybe a cat?) because his favorite spot is perched behind your shoulders like a slightly squirmy neck warmer. It’s weird, it’s adorable, and it’s extremely Mort.

He’s got that classic “I’m a baby Doberman, probably… but I might also be part mystery fluff” thing going on. Mom is a 100% Doberman beauty queen. Dad? We don’t know, but rumor has it he may have been a ninja, based on Mort’s sneaky sock thievery and silent-but-deadly zoomies.

This guy is:
Food motivated (He’ll sit for a treat. He’ll pay rent for a treat.)
Learning boundaries (Especially the ones that say “you can’t chew on that”)
Sleeping in his kennel like a good boy (Mostly. Sometimes he likes to narrate his dreams.)
Almost potty trained (We’re on the path! The occasional accident may occur during moments of intense excitement… like seeing literally anything.)
Loves car rides (He’s your road trip ride-or-die.)
Good with other dogs (He assumes everyone is a new best friend. Even squirrels.)
Working on leash training (He believes the leash is a suggestion, not a requirement. We’re getting there.)
